Hammond's Ferry • North Augusta, South Carolina
Hammond's Ferry is a new, mixed-use neighborhood that joins the charming City of North Augusta to the timeless beauty of the Savannah River, fulfilling a vision first conceived in 1891 by city founder James U. Jackson. LeylandAlliance was proud to partner with the progressive leadership of North Augusta in this public-private alliance. The Hammond's Ferry mixed-use neighborhood combines a beautifully crafted traditional neighborhood with a vibrant town center located on the Savannah River to create one of South Carolina's most compelling new communities. Hammond's Ferry encompasses a number of smaller neighborhoods, each with its own personality, with bold civic gestures, including a beautiful new riverfront park that connects to the city's impressive Greeneway Trail and Brick Pond Park, one of the first urban ecology parks in the Southeastern United States.
The newest development at Hammond’s Ferry is “Riverside Village,” an exciting, new mixed-use town center developed by Greenstone Properties, and anchored by a new baseball stadium -- SRP Park -- built by the city for the Augusta Green Jackets.
